Patience is a virtue.  For Dawn and Shannan Eckstein of Mars Hill, truer words were never spoken.  Adoption has both emotional and bureaucratic challenges. When you're trying to adopt from Haiti you can multiply those challenges a few times.  But the Eckstein's can see the light at the end of the tunnel and you can help bring Kiki home.

According to the event page on Facebook, Dawn says they are in the 'final stages of this looooong process!'  They have received their adoption decree and will soon be filing the U.S. Immigration paperwork and awaiting approval by the U.S. Embassy to bring their boy home, possibly in a matter of months. While it's a long and grueling process, it's also expensive as the Ecksteins are also supporting their almost 8 year-old monthly, on top of the funds they've raised for the adoption itself.

There is still a significant amount to raise and to help do that there will be an auction and dessert night on Friday, November 22nd at the Cornerstone Christian Academy in Presque Isle. Doors open at 6 and the auction begins at 7.  If you'd like to donate items you can follow this link to the event page on Facebook.
