Five People Arrested and Large Amount of Drugs Seized in Maine
Five people were arrested Tuesday night after a large amount of drugs were seized following an ongoing drug investigation in Lewiston.
Five People Arrested after Drug Investigation
The Lewiston Police Department and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency executed a search warrant at 149 College Street around 11:30 pm.
Third Search Warrant in Eight Months at same Location
Police said 14 people were inside the residence. “This is the third search warrant at this location in the last 8 months. These 5 arrests bring the total number of arrests from these search warrants to 18.” said Lewiston PD.
Five Arrested and Charged
- 42-year-old Derek Demers from Lewiston for an outstanding warrant charging Theft
- 35-year-old Natasha Walker from Lewiston was arrested on an outstanding warrant charging Theft and Violation of Conditions of Release. Walker is also currently on Probation for felony theft convictions.
- 35-year-old Cherly Seaborne from Lewiston was arrested on a charge of Violation of Conditions of Release
- 39-year-old Lucas Messer from Auburn was arrested and charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking of Fentanyl and two additional counts of Unlawful Drug Trafficking.
- 33-year-old Keosha Craig-Pontoo from Lewiston was arrested and charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking of Fentanyl and Violation of Conditions of Release.
Drugs and Money Seized
Law enforcement seized 9.1 grams of methamphetamine, 19.6 grams of cocaine base, 46.1 grams of fentanyl and $4,028 in suspected drug proceeds.
Law Enforcement Involved
Assisting the Lewiston Police Department was the MDEA, Scarborough Police Department and the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.
