A 25-year-old man was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder after shooting a gun and assaulting three people in Dixmont.

Deputies Said Victims Were Family Friends
Three of the victims were Springer’s family friends, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office.
One Shot and Others Hit with a Bat during the Assault
One person was “shot at while seated in their vehicle and others received injuries as a result of being struck by a bat,” said deputies.
Suspect Taken to County Jail after Arrest
Springer was arrested on Masonic Road around 9:15 pm and transported to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.
More Charges Expected as the Investigation Continues
Additional charges are expected as the investigation remains active and ongoing.
