Aroostook County Could Dodge the Worst of the Snowstorm
With a major March snowstorm bearing down on Maine, it looks like much of Aroostook County could dodge the worst of the late winter blast.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for southern Aroostook County from Wednesday night until early Friday morning. While other areas of the state are expecting to be pummeled with 12-18 inches of snow, Houlton may come through the storm with about 8-12 inches.
The Presque Isle/Caribou area should receive 7-10 inches of snow by the time it winds down early Friday. Some areas in northern Aroostook could get by with about 6 inches.
We’ll post the latest official reports as they become available.
