Alexis Wright Released From Jail

ALFRED, Maine (AP) — The Zumba instructor who ran a prostitution business in which she videotaped unsuspecting clients so her business partner could watch has been released from jail in Maine.

Alexis Wright left the York County Jail Saturday morning after serving nearly six months of a 10-month sentence that was reduced because of good behavior and participation in a work program.

She got into a waiting SUV without commenting.

The prostitution scandal featuring sex videos, detailed ledgers, adultery and more than 100 clients in the coastal Maine town of Kennebunk generated headlines around the world.

The 30-year-old Wright pleaded guilty to prostitution, as well as several welfare-and tax-related charges. Her business partner, 57-year-old Mark Strong, Sr. was convicted of promoting prostitution and served 15 days in jail.
