A 29-year-old woman was sentenced to time served after spending 32 months in prison for Drug Trafficking in northern Maine.

Sentenced to Time Served

Shelby Loring from Bangor was charged with her role in a conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl.

Guilty Plea

She will have three years of supervised release. Loring pleaded guilty on January 17, 2023.

Trafficked in Aroostook & Penobscot Counties

Loring trafficked meth and fentanyl into Aroostook and Penobscot Counties between January 2018 and December 2021, according to court records.

Bought Meth & Fentanyl for Northern Maine

She would regularly buy drugs from a source and distribute them in northern Maine.

Drugs and Guns Seized

“Loring’s participation in the conspiracy resulted in contacts with local law enforcement that led to the seizure of drugs, firearms, drug paraphernalia, and other items.”

Widespread Drug Trafficking Conspiracy

The U.S. Attorney's Office said the drug trafficking conspiracy was widespread in northern Maine. So far, 21 defendants have been charged, 11 people have been sentenced and 10 are awaiting sentencing.
