Now that Halloween is over, you’re wondering what to do with the abundance of Halloween candy. You certainly don’t want your kids to consume all of that candy over the course of a few days, so I came up with some ideas on what you can do with that leftover Halloween candy.

1. Freeze it:  And throughout the year, add it to milkshakes, sundaes and plain cookie dough. For a quick milkshake, add mini Butterfinger or Snickers bars to ice cream or frozen yogurt and milk… delicious!

2. Make it a (semi) healthy snack: Fill celery sticks with cream cheese or peanut butter and top with M&Ms.
3. Make trail mix: Open bags of candies such as M&Ms or skittles and make your own trail mix by adding pretzels, nuts, and dried fruit.

4. Bring it into the office: It will disappear in no time.

5. Send it overseas: Groups like Operation Shoebox, which supports our troops, will gladly take donations.

Hopefully you’ll find these tips helpful! There are many more ways to use up that Halloween candy. You just have to get creative!

What are your plans for that leftover candy?
