Voisine Named ACT Champion
The University of Maine at Fort Kent’s Director of Student Services was recently named Maine’s ACT Postsecondary Champion.
ACT is a mission-driven, non-profit organization dedicated to helping people achieve education and workplace success. ACT State Councils are comprised of education and workforce professionals from all 50 states and serve as the selection committee. They select one Champion per category for each participating state, and UMFK's Scott Voisine was their choice for Maine.
UMFK President John Short had nothing but high praise for Voisine. “Scott’s leadership of Rural U and our Early College programs, and his office’s attention to middle school students, has worked to align our curricula while raising the aspirations of K-12 students in our network."
“It’s an honor being recognized by ACT for work that is truly a passion of mine,” said Voisine. “The work it honors would not be possible if it were not the amazing team in the Community Education Office at UMFK."
