Travis Roy Signs B’s Contract [VIDEO]
Maine's Travis Roy can now say he was a Boston Bruins player, if only for a day. Roy was honored at Boston Garden Monday afternoon for his perservience and his work with the Travis Roy Foundation.
20 years ago this month, Roy was a freshman hockey player at Boston University. 11-seconds into his first shift he slid into the boards. The impact left him with cracked vertebra and left him a quadriplegic.
The Travis Roy Foundation was founded in 1997 and money raised helps spinal cord injury survivors and fund research into a cure.
