Florida-based musician Taylor Reed, an R&B, pop, neo-soul looperist/multi-instrumentalist/groove enthusiast, is coming to the University of Maine at Presque Isle on Wednesday, March 27 at 7 p.m.

The event, sponsored by UMPI’s Student Activities Office, will be held in the Campus Center and is free and open to the public and donations will be accepted at the door.

Reed weaves the sounds of violin, guitar, and vocals together using an electronic looping station, which allows her to build an elegantly layered, soulful sound.

Reed is a a self-taught musician. Her formative influences include both cutting-edge pop icons such as Michael Jackson and Coldplay, all the way to modern day R&B, as well as more classical artists such as Johann Sebastian Bach.

Reed currently resides in Tampa Bay, Florida with her husband and two dogs, MooCow and Dragon.
