Welcome to March! As we look forward to Mud Season really kicking in, we look back to some of the best Maine vanity license plates we saw on the roads this past month.
We found some vanity plates this week that could only come from The 207. That's because Mainers have their own language and wicked cool accent and like to translate that onto our crazy Maine vanity license plates.
Happy October! In honor of Autumn kicking into high gear, we proudly bring you another pumpkin-spiced-leaves-are-falling edition of Maine Vanity Plates. Culled from the collection on Instagram of Vanity of Maine, we've got an excellent assortment for you this week.
Today's theme is "By The Numbers" and all the plates featured have include numbers. Usually, the numbers are employed to help spell out a word, but you'll see other creative uses in this nifty little photo gallery.
If you were traveling on the highways and byways of Maine, you may have seen a wacky vanity license plate or two. There are zillions of them out there in Maine. Why do you ask? Because in Maine, you can put ANYTHING on your license plate. That's right, ZERO restrictions. Is it a good idea? Probably not, but it makes for interesting viewing on your journey. Thanks to Morgan, the king of Maine Vanity Plates, we have collected our faves from the past summer. Check out his amazing Instagram page for many, many more.
I am so thankful right now for the things that are constant in my life. There is so much change and disruption. The things that have made it through the pandemic so far are some of the strongest forces in the world. My friends. My family. Good Maine microbrews. Classic Rock. And crazy and ridiculous Maine Vanity License Plates. Thank you, Mainers for staying the course and keeping it more than real on the roads of our fine state.
I'm a big free speech guy but I'm just gonna come right out and say it. I don't know if it's really a great idea that we are allowed to put anything, and I mean ANYTHING, on our Maine license plates. Do you know why it's not a good idea...
So much disruption in our world. Global pandemics. Social unrest. Shark attacks. Up is down, left is right, cats and dogs living together. I mean, really. But there is one constant in our lives that continue. It's the fact that Mainers continue to come up with the most creative, insightful, and profane license plates on the planet. We put things on our license plates that we would never tell a friend or co-worker, let alone a complete stranger who happens to be passing us on the Maine Turnpike. Our friend Morgan is the King of Maine Vanity on Instagram and knows all and sees all when it comes to the Vanity Plate in the Pine Tree State.
