RCMP Seize Cocaine and Guns in Six Roads, N.B., Two People Arrested

The New Brunswick RCMP has arrested two people and seized cocaine and 11 firearms as part of a drug trafficking investigation in Six Roads, N.B.

On Friday, February 25, Mounties executed a search warrant at a home on Grand Carey Road, according to Corporal Hans Ouellette.

Police allegedly seized a quantity of what they believed to be cocaine, along with 11 firearms, various types of ammunition, money, and drug-trafficking paraphernalia including digital scales.

A 53-year-old man and 52-year-old woman, both from Six Roads, were arrested in connection with the investigation.  The RCMP has not identified the suspects until charges are laid. They were both released and are scheduled to appear in Tracadie Provincial Court on May 24, Ouellette stated.

The investigation was led by the Provincial Crime Reduction Unit, which includes police officers from the New Brunswick RCMP and Fredericton Police Force. Members of the Tracadie RCMP and RCMP Police Dog Services assisted with the search.

These efforts focus on disrupting and dismantling the trafficking of illegal drugs in the province, targeting those causing the most harm in local communities.

The investigation is ongoing.
