Police believe a fire that destroyed a car in Harvey, New Brunswick in the early hours Saturday may have been deliberately set.  

Cpl. Jayson Hansen reports that McAdam RCMP and the Harvey Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire at a residence on Swan Road in Harvey at around 12:45 a.m.


The vehicle, a grey 2002 Chevrolet Malibu, appeared to have been covered with a substance before it was completely destroyed by fire, Hansen said.

A lone individual wearing dark pants and a light shirt was reported in the area near the vehicle shortly after the fire began.

The investigation continues.
