Northern Maine Community College will soon welcome prospective students and families to its Open House 2019.

The Open House will be held on Friday, Oct. 18 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the campus on Edgemont Drive in Presque Isle. Check-in for visitors will be held at the lobby of the Smith Wellness Center.

Those attending the Open House will be able to tour the campus, labs and classrooms, see student demonstrations and presentations, and meet with admissions and financial aid staff, as well as experience “Dining like a student” with a free lunch at Reed Commons.

Participants are also welcome to tour campus housing options. Those applying to the College on the day of Open House will have their application fee waived.

Some of the demonstrations include: wind power harness and climbing, preparation and painting a vehicle, CNC milling machine demos in the precision machining technology lab, electric vehicle diagnostics displays, the new virtual anatomy table and much more.

The nursing and allied health simulation center will be giving interactive demonstrations using high-fidelity mannequins throughout the day and the emergency medical services department will have stations set-up for demonstrating a variety of emergency medical skills.
