Statistics Canada has reported the jobless numbers for July. The Canadian economy shed more than 3,900 jobs last month, pushing the unemployment rate up a 10th of a point to 7.2 per cent. Provincially, the creation of about 4,000 mostly part-time jobs saw New Brunswick's unemployment rate drop a full percentage point to 10.2. Greater Moncton's jobless picture was on par with the national numbers, up 2/10 of a percentage point to 7.3.
