A 39-year-old Carleton County man has pleaded guilty to charges in connection with several thefts of gas in 3 separate towns throughout New Brunswick.

Troy Dugan from Johnville, N.B., appeared in court on Monday and pleaded guilty to three counts of theft under $5,000 and taking a motor vehicle without consent.

Dugan will remain in custody pending his sentencing hearing scheduled for June 5.

Sometime overnight on April 23, a Chevrolet Silverado was taken from the driveway of a residence on Route 103 in Wakefield and was subsequently used in the theft of gas at three separate locations. The truck has since been recovered by police.
