Maine Drug Enforcement Agents seized additional drugs and guns, and have made another arrest,  in the investigation that follows two methamphetamine arrests in Lincoln last week.

MDEA Agents Monday, with the assistance of the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office and State Police,  searched the home of Bruce McAlpine on Depot Street in Mattawamkeag. Seized from the home were over 2.5 pounds (1208 grams) of crystal methamphetamine, with a retail street value of $180,000, and two rifles. McAlpine, 29, was arrested and charged with aggravated trafficking in methamphetamine and was taken to the Penobscot County Jail, where he remains.

Tuesday evening MDEA Agents recovered six handguns and a sawed off shotgun that had been hidden on the side of a road in Mattawamkeag. Agents say the guns had previously been at the Depot Street residence of McAlpine, but had been stashed prior to Monday night’s search of the home.

Last Friday in Lincoln, Agents arrested  27-year-old Jared Fogg, of Lake Whales, Florida (and Maine) and Rogelio Rios, 29, of Labelle, Florida.  Seized from the men were 125 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 42 grams of heroin, more than $19,000 in cash and two 9mm handguns.

This investigation remains active and MDEA is requesting that anyone with information contact them at 800-452-6457.
