Man Charged With Shots Fired at Tobique RCMP (UPDATE)

A 25-year-old man from Tobique First Nation, N.B., has been charged with several firearms offences in connection with an incident where shots were fired at the Tobique First Nation RCMP detachment.

On May 20, RCMP members arrived at the detachment to find several bullet holes in the side and the back of the building. It is believed that the incident happened some time in the early morning hours of May 20. No one was injured in the incident.On May 25, Nekko Dominique appeared in Woodstock Provincial Court and was charged with reckless discharge of a firearm, careless use of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm while prohibited, mischief over $5,000 and breaching an undertaking. He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in court on May 30, at 9:30 a.m., for a bail hearing.
