
Man Charged with OUI after 5 Seriously Injured in Crash in Maine
Five people were injured Saturday night and one man was charged with OUI after a head-on crash on Airline Road in Clifton.
OUI and More Charges
The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office said a 19-year-old Kyle Gray from Harborside was arrested and charged with Operating Under the Influence Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury, Aggravated Driving to Endanger, Operating Without a License Beyond Restrictions.
Truck Crossed Centerline
Deputies said a truck driven by Gray crossed the centerline “causing the collision with the SUV.”
Woman Trapped in SUV
A woman was seriously injured in the collision and was trapped in the SUV. She was extricated and flown by LifeFlight to Eastern Maine Medical Center.
Three Passengers Injured
Three passengers in the pickup truck had serious injuries and were taken to EMMC.
Search Warrant for Blood Testing
Gray was transported to the hospital where a search warrant was obtained for his blood testing. He was then taken to the Penobscot County Jail. The crash is under investigation.
