Man Charged in Stabbing and Assault Near Miramichi, New Brunswick
A 30-year-old man has been charged in connection with an assault and stabbing on the Metepenagiag First Nation, just southwest of Miramichi.

Blackville RCMP responded to a report that a 33-year-old woman had been assaulted and a 35-year-old man had been stabbed on Saturday. The injured man was transported to hospital and was later released.
Police arrested Conrad Augustine of the Metepenagiag First Nation at the scene. Augustine was charged with assault and aggravated assault. He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Miramichi Provincial Court on Monday for a bail hearing.
