A 31-year-old man was arrested early Monday morning and charged after an assault on a security guard in Portland.

Daniel Noble faces charges for Aggravated Assault, Robbery, Aggravated Criminal Trespass, Criminal Threatening and Theft by Unauthorized Taking or Transfer (priors).
Report of Assault in Downtown Portland
The Portland Police Department responded to One City Center around 3:50 am after a 911 call.
Security Guard Injured after Assault and Taken to the Hospital
The security guard was injured in the assault and taken to Maine Medical Center for treatment.
Suspect Left Before Officers Responded
Noble had fled the scene before officers arrived, according to WGME News.

Suspect Arrested Later and Taken Into Custody
Officers located Noble on Marginal Way around 5:21 am. He was apprehended and taken into custody without incident.

Taken to County Jail and Ongoing Investigation
Noble was transported to the Cumberland County Jail. The investigation remains open.
