Man Arrested after High Speed Police Chase on I-95 in Maine
A 64-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after a hit-and-run and high speed police chase in Bangor.
High Speed Police Chase after Crash
The crash happened in the Best Buy parking lot. Bangor Police said Everett Buzzell backed into a vehicle and tried to leave.
Suspect Fled the Scene in Vehicle
Buzzell told officers he was not involved in the crash. He fled the scene in his vehicle while police were checking his license and registration.
Police Chase on Interstate
Buzzell led police on a chase on I-95 with speeds reaching 80 mph. He was stopped and vehicle was boxed in near the Hammond Street overpass, said WGME News.
Police Broke Window and Handcuffed Man
Officers had to break the windows of his car and then handcuffed him.
Charged with Resisting Arrest
Buzzell was arrested and faces charges for leaving the scene of an accident and resisting arrest. He was taken to the Penobscot County Jail.
