First, how does one even determine if a restaurant is underrated? And how can we single out the most underrated?

Spoon University’s list of ‘The Most Underrated Restaurant in Every State’ was written by student Caroline Early from their Richmond chapter. The focus was on local restaurants that are often overlooked due to their modest appearance, hidden location, or limited publicity.

These eateries are praised for serving great food, and many are family-owned or specialize in a particular cuisine. The article compiles these hidden gems to help folks discover new places to enjoy.
