No matter how many laws a state puts on the books, it seems that someone will always find a way to try and get a cheap high. Many times at the expense of peoples lives.

There seems to be a new trend across the fruited plain, and it is certainly not healthy for those who are partaking in it.

It's called 'huffing' air dusters and it can be very dangerous.

Air duster's, or cans of air and some might know them as is a new trend that teenagers are using in order to get a cheap high.

One lady gave an account of a time when she was in a supercenter parking lot and saw several teenagers in a vehicle 'huffing.'

She said she saw the teenagers huffing directly out of the can. Even though she had her children with her, she called the police.

This particular account took place near Little Rock, Arkansas. Police in Batesville says that they had received 5 calls like this within a two-week time frame.

With opioid addiction running rampant in Maine, one can't help but wonder if this is the new trend among teens.

Huffing air is a very dangerous practice!

Parents should be aware of this potential new trend, especially if it makes its way into our school systems.

One police officer was called to a scene where someone had died because they were huffing an air duster.

Here are some other household items that can be dangerous, if consumed and could lead to fatalities.

  • Rubber Cement
  • Paint Thinners
  • Gasoline
  • Helium
  • Felt-tip Makers
  • Cooking Spray
  • Nail Polish Remover

There are other items that can be marked harmful as well, but these are a few that parents should be mindful of?

Drugs come in many forms and many forms of drugs can be addictive. If you see this activity going on near you, please don't hesitate to call law enforcement. You just might save a life.
