If you've visited the Maine Mall in South Portland recently, you've noticed a few changes are underway.

Those changes aren't just the flood of extra vendors temporarily setting up shop in the mall for the holiday season.

Instead, one longtime mall resident has moved locations to make room for something new that will debut at the Maine Mall.

Go Playland locations typically feature things like climbing walls, small slides, an interactive ball pit and other activities to keep a child's attention.

At other locations, Go Playland offers a separate room for private parties as well as a small space for adults to decompress while the kids play.

Go Playland at the Maine Mall is part of a larger expansion in malls across America. Go Playland will open six new locations nationwide at the beginning of 2026.

Go Playland Will Be Located Near JC Penney at the Maine Mall

The Maine Mall has shared that Go Playland will be located across from Koko's in the JC Penney wing of the mall. Construction has been ongoing to transform the space for Go Playland's needs.
