After two terms in office, the former Republican Governor of Maine is showing off his skills as a bartender.

According to WGME News 13, McSeagulls Restaurant in Boothbay Harbor has a new 70 year old hire they're quite excited about. Paul LePage will be working at the restaurant, where his wife and daughter have also worked. The former First Lady will return as a server this summer as well. Owner Jeff Stoddard said he wasn't sure of LePage's schedule, but did anticipate the part time Floridian working a majority of the summer.   Stoddard told WGME News 13 "he was looking for something to do this summer and it just seemed like a natural thing to do.”

This isn't LePage's first time behind the bar.

With a busy tourist season expected, some have thought hiring the controversial Governor was a publicity stunt, but Stoddard set the record straight. “You have any idea how hard it is to find workers?” he asked. “I will take good honest reliable help any day.”
