Lots of folks in our area burn wood to heat their homes. There is just nothing like wood heat, especially on a balmy winter day!

There is a lot of work and effort on account of a lot of people before that firewood even makes it to the wood stove. First the loggers have to saw down the trees and haul the out of the woods, then cut them to length before the wood is even delivered to the homes of wood burning customers.

Anyone who has ever burned wood should know that letting your wood season is the key to successfully heating your home. If you burn green wood, there is a lot more smoke and ash that can build up and accumulate in your chimney. And that can sometimes lead to a chimney fire if you don’t regularly clean your chimney.
