ELLSWORTH, Maine (AP) — A car has crashed into a train in Maine for the second time in less than a week.

Police say a car crashed into a passenger excursion train Monday afternoon at a railroad crossing in Ellsworth, but the driver was unhurt.

Witnesses said the train was sounding its horn at the time of the crash, but the driver told police she didn't see the train.

Sgt. Shawn Willey of the Ellsworth Police Department says nobody on the train was hurt, but the car was totaled.

Last Thursday, a dump truck driver suffered broken bones when he drove his truck into a train in Hampden.
