B’s Great Milt Schmidt Dies At 98 [VIDEO]
The Boston Bruins lost one of their all time greats Wednesday when Milt Schmidt passed away at the age of 98. He was the oldest living former NHL player.
Schmidt was the only Bruin to serve as a player, a captain, a coach and a general manager.
He was part of two Boston Stanley Cup champion teams - in 1939 and 1941. He won the MVP Award in 1951.
Schmidt played 15 seasons in the NHL, missing three seasons whiel serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force.
Schmidt was last seen at Boston Garden back in October when he and Bobby Orr dropped the ceremonial first puck to honor his 80th anniversary of his rookie season and Orrr's 50th anniversary of his rookie season...
