A 77-year-old woman died Monday night and a 42-year-old man was seriously injured after a head-on collision in Stockton Springs.

Woman Died at the Scene of the Head-On Crash

Anne Pomroy from Old Orchard was pronounced dead at the scene.

Man Transported to the Hospital with Serious But Non-Life Threatening Injuries

Adam Sorrentino from Belfast was taken to a local hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The crash happened around 6:08 pm on Route 1.

Man in Westbound Truck and Woman in Eastbound Vehicle Collided Head-On

Sorrentino was driving a truck west when he collided head-on with Pomroy who was going east in a Subaru Forester, according to Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer, Maine Department of Public Safety.

The Maine State Police Central Field Troop is investigating the crash.
