Body Discovered Along Shore of St. Croix River Identified
The body of a woman who had been reported missing has been found along the shore of the St. Croix River, near St. Stephen, N.B.
The woman was identified as 68-year old Edith Lorraine Williams from St. Stephen, N.B. who went missing on July 8th. St. Stephen RCMP, and more than 250 people participated in an extensive search of the town and surrounding areas.
Helping in the search for Williams were ground search and rescue teams from across New Brunswick, as well as the Town of St. Stephen and the St. Stephen Fire Department, the New Brunswick Emergency Measures Organization, the Department of Natural Resources and the Department of Energy and Resource Development,
Williams body was found on the morning of July 14 along the shore at Todd's Point. Williams was identified with the help of an autopsy.
Foul play is not suspected, but an investigation is continuing.
