Woman’s Body Found after Dad’s Body Found on Katahdin in Maine

The body of a missing 28-year-old woman was found Wednesday on Mount Katahdin after her father’s body was recovered on Tuesday.

Daughter’s Body Located

The body of Esther Keiderling from Ulster Park, New York was found near the Tablelands in a wooded area between two known trails.

Father’s Body Recovered

The body of her father, 58-year-old Tim Keiderling, was located near the summit on Tuesday afternoon.

Search after Vehicle Still in Parking Lot

The two were last seen leaving the Abol Campground on Sunday morning. The search started after their vehicle was still in the parking lot Monday.

Multi-Agency Search

The search involved 25 Wardens, four K-9 teams and 21 Baxter State Park Rangers. A Maine National Guard Lokota helicopter with thermal imaging was used in the search.
