A 34-year-old man pleaded guilty to failing to surrender for service of sentence after previously being ordered to serve 75 months in prison.
Sentenced to Over 6 Years in Prison
Christopher Tucker from Topsham was sentenced to over 6 years in September, 2025 for firearm charges.
Released for Self-Surrender at a Later Date
He was “permitted to remain out on release and to self-surrender to the custody of the Bureau of Prisons at a later date,” according to the United States Attorney’s Office.
Did Not Surrender for Service of Sentence
Tucker did not surrender for service of sentence as ordered by the United States District Court.

Fugitive Apprehended and Brought to Justice
He was apprehended and brought to justice after the United States Marshals Service located him in Bath, Maine.
Facing 10 Years in Prison with $250,000 Fine
He now faces up to 10 years in prison consecutive with the 75 months he was ordered to serve. He also faces a fine up to $250,000 and three years of supervised release.

20 Firearms Seized by Police from Vehicle
Tucker was arrested in May 2024 after police seized 20 stolen firearms inside a vehicle.
Prohibited from Having Firearms after Prior Felony Convictions
He was prohibited from having a firearm after several prior felony convictions, said court records.

He pleaded guilty to stealing the guns from a home garage. Investigators found cabinets had been pried open and ammunition was scattered on the floor.

Tucker fled on foot when officers approached the vehicle owned by him. He was taken into custody after a manhunt.
