Annual Aroostook County Haunted Woods Walk Canceled

The annual Haunted Woods Walk has been canceled, the Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce officials announced today. Unfortunately not enough people signed up to lead the tours which cause the cancellation.

For the past four years, the Haunted Woods Walk was one of the most popular Halloween destinations for county people, but this year, promoters were unable to find enough people to volunteer at the event.

‘Several groups who have participated in the past were unable to this year and we were unable to attract new organizations to the event,’ said Nola Farley, Committee Chair. ‘Hopefully next year with some adjustments the Haunted Woods Walk will be held again’
