If you are like me, you've driven by the Acadia Gateway Center in Trenton and wondered is that EVER going to open? Well it's open, and it is absolutely beautiful!

I stopped in there on Saturday, September 6th and it is clean, inviting, accessible and welcoming!

There's plenty of parking and there are EV chargers if you have an electric vehicle. You can purchase your Acadia National Park Pass either from the kiosk outside or inside. There is an information booth, and then a separate area to receive information from an Acadia National Park Ranger. There's a Park Store and lots of chairs where you can wait for the Island Explorer in air-conditioned comfort.

The Acadia Gateway Center is open seasonally, and is slated to close at the end of October. You owe it to yourself to stop in and see the finished product of years and years of work!
