16-Year-Old Girl Shot and 17-Year-Old Sister Attacked in Maine
A 16-year-old girl was shot and her 17-year-old sister was assaulted Wednesday morning on Dennison Street in Auburn.
One Girl Shot and One Injured after Attack
The Auburn Police Department said the 16-year-old was shot in the leg. Officers applied a tourniquet and she was taken to the hospital with injuries. Her sister was also transported to the hospital with injuries.
Two People Attacked Sisters and Gun Discharged
Police said the sisters were walking on Dennison Street around 5:11 am when a black man and a white woman got out of a vehicle and attacked the 17-year-old. “During the altercation, a firearm was discharged, striking the 16-year-old female.”
Girl Stabbed Man with Pocket Knife
The 16-year-old “stabbed the male subject with her pocket knife in an attempt to help her sister,” said Auburn PD.
Male Suspect Fled
The man fled the scene before officers arrived.
