
Spike Strips Used & Woman Arrested on I- 95 in Maine
A 51-year-old woman was arrested and charged with Driving to Endanger after spike strips were deployed on I-95 in New Gloucester.
Woman Weaving In and Out of Traffic and Speeding on Interstate
The Maine State Police said Carla Williams from Homewood, Alabama was weaving in and out of traffic and driving an SUV at a high rate of speed on I-95 near Auburn.
Police Responded to 911 Calls of Erratic Driver
Several 911 calls were made around 5:38 pm and Troopers responded to the area.
Driver Refused to Stop and Fled from Troopers
When police tried to pull her over, Williams sped away and refused to stop for law enforcement.

Spike Strips Deployed to Stop SUV on I-95
Spike strips were used near the toll plaza in New Gloucester. The tires on the SUV were deflated and the vehicle was stopped.
High-Risk Stop Initiated and Arrests Made
Police initiated a high-risk stop and took her into custody, according to Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer, Maine Department of Public Safety.

Woman Faces Multiple Charges
Williams faces charges for Driving to Endanger and Failing to stop for a Law Enforcement Officer.
Transported to Hospital for Mental Health Evaluation
She was taken to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation.
