Woman Uninjured in Rollover Crash at Cross Lake
Maine State Police say slippery roads were a factor in a rollover crash Wednesday morning in Cross Lake Township in northern Aroostook.
Thirty-eight-year-old Marie Boucher of St. Agatha was driving a 1998 Ford pickup west on the Ouellette Road just before 7 a.m. According to a press release from Sgt. Jeffrey Clark, Boucher drove over a patch of black ice and lost control of her vehicle.
The truck went off the road and rolled over before coming to rest on top of a snow bank. Boucher was wearing her seatbelt and was uninjured in the accident, Clark said.
Trooper Nathan Desrosier responded to the crash just a little more than a mile north of the Caribou Road. At the time, there was freezing rain and drizzle and the road surface was wet.
