Veterans’ Day Events In Central Maine
Veterans Day is this Friday, November 11th and we have gathered some events going on throughout central Maine. Show your support to our veterans!
Waterville: Parade starts at 11 a.m. The parade route starts and ends at the American Legion Post, proceeds down College Ave. to Main St., turning left onto Common Street, then proceeds up Front St. and back to the American Legion lot.
Augusta: Parade starts at 10 a.m. Here's the parade route: Broad Street, downtown Augusta; with Fort Gordon’s U.S. Army Band, Armed Services Color Guard and marching units, JROTC color guards, high school bands, veterans and civic groups
Sidney: Sidney Historical Society Veterans Committee wil be holding a Veterans Day Celebration on Friday, Nov 11, 2016 beginning at 11:00 am on the Sidney Town Office/Grange Hall grounds and Veterans Memorial. Col. Donald Lagace will be master of ceremonies. The Sidney Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts will be taking part in the program. There will be a laying of a commemorative wreath, followed by taps. Refreshments will be served.
