Toddler Hospitalized After Accidental Shooting in Winn, Maine
The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported accidental shooting of a 20-month-old girl in the town of Winn, just north of Lincoln.
The child was taken to the Penobscot Valley Hospital in Lincoln by a family member Monday evening and later transferred by ambulance to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. Sheriff Troy Morton said in a news release on Wednesday that the toddler received treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
Those involved have been identified and are cooperating with investigators, Morton said.
The accidental shooting remains an active investigation and no other information, names or details will be released at this time.
