Three People Injured in Littleton Collision
Three people were injured Tuesday afternoon when a car collided with a pickup at an intersection in Littleton.
The Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash around 3:00 p.m at the intersection of Gentle Road and Framingham Road, according to Acting Sheriff Shawn Gillen.
Police say 21-year-old Tessa Winship of Houlton was northbound on the Framingham Road in her 2000 Volkswagen sedan when she attempted to make a left turn onto the Gentle Road. Winship’s car struck a 2005 GMC pickup operated by 24-year-old Joshua Kennedy of Littleton who was traveling east on the Gentle Road.
Both drivers, as well as a female passenger in Winship’s car, were transported by Houlton Ambulance to the Houlton Regional Hospital with what Gillen called “non-life threatening injuries.”
Deputy Sheriff Richard York investigated the crash. Monticello Fire Department used vehicle extrication equipment to assist with removing a passenger from a vehicle.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene due to disabling damage.
The crash is still under investigation.
