Three people from Maine were riding on the Farmington Recreation Trail in Rochester, New Hampshire when the crash happened around 9 pm Friday.

A 20-year-old man from Lebanon was driving the ATV with two passengers, a 23-year-old from Cape Neddick and a 20-year-old man from Lebanon.
Three People Taken to the Hospital with Serious Injuries
All three were seriously injured and transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital for treatment.

Speed and inattention are believed to be factors in the crash, according to New Hampshire Fish and Game.

All three people injured were not wearing helmets or proper riding attire when the crash happened, said wardens.
