On Tuesday night, the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency’s lab team executed a search warrant at 60 Military Street, Apartment A, in Houlton. The location was under investigation following reports of criminal drug activity and strong chemical odors.

Shortly after 6 p.m., agents wearing fire resistant chemical gear and breathing apparatus entered the apartment. The fire department was also at the scene providing support. Agents seized chemicals, solvents, equipment and other materials used to make methamphetamine.

The MDEA reports that three adults - Kyle Stewart, 25, of Houlton, Jammie Dickinson, 27, of Houlton and Crystal Dehahn, 26, of Hodgdon, have been arrested and charged with Class B, Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class D Misdemeanor.

It has been reported that a toddler was also living in the same apartment. Police officers discovered strips of lithium metal, a highly flammable component of methamphetamine, that were hidden inside a child’s shirt near where the child slept.

A number of other people have been interviewed and additional arrests are possible.
