Maine State Police – Troop F’s weekly incident report…

3/17 - Tr. Whalen had stopped a car for a traffic violation and issued the female operator a summons. Since that time, Tr. Whalen has determined that the female had given him a false name and information and his investigation has led him to identify the female and determine that she currently has warrants for her arrest, her license is revoked and she is on bail conditions which most likely was the reason she gave false name and information. Tr. Whalen continues to seek for the female and will be getting warrants for her arrest.

3/17 - Tr. Lilley responded to a 9-1-1 misdial in Oakfield and discovered an elderly male living at residence alone and living in substandard conditions. Tr. Lilley is working with DHHS and the VA to get the man assistance and care.

3/19 - Tr. Saucier was off duty and received information that a possible sex offender was living in Stacyville without complying with his registration requirements. Tr. Ferland investigated the complaint and determined that a 31 y/o male was in violation of the sex offender registry. This was the man’s second offense which made it a class C felony. The male was arrested and transported to the Penobscot County Jail.

3/19 - Tr. Clark responded to the Mapleton Elementary School to assist DHHS with a report of a six year old with substantial bruises and swelling to his face. After speaking with the boy, he revealed that he lived with his aunt and uncle and gets spanked and slapped in the face as discipline. Tr. Clark interviewed the aunt and uncle at the school. Both admitted to being responsible for the injuries and indicated they kept the boy out of school the day prior due to the bruising and swelling to his face. The boy was taken to the hospital ER where further pictures had been taken of his bruises. The uncle was arrested at the school and had placed bail to not have contact with his two biological boys or be at the residence or school. DHHS took the six year old boy for placement in another home.

3/19-3/20 – Sgt. Haines instructed at the RTT firearms range in Augusta.

3/16 and again 3/20 - Tr. Flynn assisted ASO with EMS calls related to unresponsive or suicidal patients believed to be using bath salts. 3/20 - Tr. Ferland took a report from a 27 y/o female from Island Falls of a domestic assault she claimed happened a week prior. The report was investigated and Tr. Ferland determined that the report was false. The female was upset because her boyfriend moved out on her the day before. The woman later called and spoke with Tr. Saucier. She admitted that she filed a false report. The woman was charged with unsworn falsification, class D, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

3/21 – Troopers Saucier and Lilley conducted a bail check on a 24 year old Stacyville man who is on bail conditions from charges after incident last month. The man had been charged with furnishing a place for minors to consume alcohol in February by Tr. Saucier after an alcohol related motor vehicle crash involving teens in Benedicta. During the bail check, three minors were found at the residence that had been drinking. As a result, the three were summonsed for possession of alcohol and the 24 year old was arrested for allowing minors to consume/possess alcohol and violation of bail conditions.

3/22 - Tr. Casavant was called out to Bridgewater to a report of people fighting. The investigation determined there was a family fight between a 15 year old girl and a 28 year old boy. Then a 55 year old man tried to separate the two and was attacked. The 15 year old female cut the man on the top of the head with scissors. The 15 year old was charged with assault and her probation officer will be seeking to revoke her probation on Monday.

3/22 - Sgt. Haines attended a Cyberbullying Summit in Woodstock, NB.
