Maine State Police – Troop F’s weekly incident report…

7/07 - Tr. Doody arrested a 35 year old Hodgdon man on a warrant and then later returned and charged his girlfriend with hindering apprehension after hiding the man.

7/08 - Tr. Doody charged a 50 year old Houlton woman with OAS HO after a traffic complaint was called in on her operating an unregistered vehicle.

7/08 - Tr. Lilley responded to a single vehicle crash in Benedicta with injury. Investigation revealed that male subject suffered a medical incident and went off the road, the elderly male died at the scene from the medical incident. Investigation is being treated as an unattended death.

7/08 - Tr. Quint struck a moose while responding to a car/moose crash in Cyr Plantation. As a result of Tr. Quint’s crash, his cruiser was totaled and he was transported to Cary Medical Center for treatment for cuts to his head and hand and a possible head injury. Tr. Quint was treated and released. Tr. Whalen responded to the original crash, a single vehicle/moose crash a few miles to the north and both occupants were also transported to Cary Medical Center for treatment of their injuries. Troop F Troopers responded to half a dozen car moose crashes this week.

7/08 & 09 - Sgt. Haines attended two days of Tactical Team training in Houlton.

7/08 - Tr. Monahan investigated a 9-1-1 hang up call in Hodgdon. On call back, the caller provided his name to Dispatch who promptly ran him and discovered warrants for his arrest. Tr. Monahan responded to the residence and located the male hiding in a bedroom and arrested him on the warrants.

7/09 - Tr. Lilley was assisting MDEA at a residence in Merrill and while there, he observed a female who appeared to be coming to the residence but instead drove past and that he knew was under suspension. Tr. Lilley stopped the vehicle and summonsed her for OAS. A short time later, another vehicle drove by the residence and was also going to stop in until seeing the law enforcement there. Tr. Lilley conducted a traffic stop and discovered the male operator was under suspension, he was summonsed for the offense.

7/09 - Tr. Bell, Tr. Darcy, and Sgt. Fuller responded to a residence in Linneus when the complainant called and said a female had just walked into the residence uninvited. Tr. Bell arrived and arrested the female suspect for Criminal Trespass. The female suspect was given a no trespass warning for the same residence in January 2014, and was previously arrested for same offense at the same address.

7/10 – Tr. Clark and Tr. Bell responded to Bridgewater for a well-being request that a female was suicidal and making statements about leaving this world. Tr. Bell located that female at a residence in Bridgewater and determined that she had taken too many of her own prescription medications. The female voluntarily was transported to TAMC.

7/11 - Troopers Saucier and Sylvia were called out to a domestic in Smyrna. As a result, a 25 year old Crystal man was arrested for domestic assault.

7/11 - Troopers Saucier and Sylvia arrested a 24 year old Sherman man for violation of bail after he failed a drug test.

7/11 - Trooper Saucier charged a 20 year old Winthrop woman with criminal speed for driving 108 on the interstate.

7/11 - Tr. Hafford charged a 50 year old man from Allagash for assault which stemmed from an incident that occurred over the weekend at a barbeque.

7/12 - Tr. Marquis arrested a 35 year old man for OUI after he drove his vehicle off the roadway in Cross Lake Twp. The man later was taken to Cary Medical Center for his injuries and suicidal statements. The man was eventually blue papered and taken to Acadia via ambulance.

7/12 - Tr. Doody arrested a 29 year old Mapleton man for OUI and a 27 year old Ashland man for a bail violation both from the same traffic stop. Tr. Casavant assisted with transporting one of the prisoners.

7/13 - Troopers Casavant and Doody were called out to an assault complaint stemming from an earlier complaint they assisted the SO with in Mars Hill. A 30 year old Mars Hill man was charged with assault and was later arrested by the SO for the domestic from the previous evening. The same male will also be charged with burglary and theft of cash from a case of Tr. Casavant’s which he began investigating on 7/08.

Troop F of the Maine State Police is responsible for Aroostook County and the extreme northern sections of Somerset, Piscataquis and Penobscot counties. In addition, the Troop patrols Interstate 95 from Sherman to the Canadian border in Houlton.
