Maine State Police – Troop F’s weekly incident report…

2/24 - Tr. Flynn investigated a family fight in Mars Hill. The dispute revolved around a temporary license plate being removed off a vehicle who both parties claimed to have primary ownership to. No crime committed and both parties were advised to settle the dispute in court.

2/25 - Tr. Marquis investigated a credit card fraud complaint on the Carson Rd in Woodland. The case remains under investigation.

2/26 - Tr. Levesque investigated a theft of medication in St. Agatha from a residence. Investigation is ongoing.

2/26 - Troopers Whalen and Flynn responded to residence in St. Francis for what was reported as a domestic assault. After investigation, it was determined it wasn’t a domestic assault and after talking to all parties involved and witnesses, the involved parties refused to want charges brought against each other. Parties were separated for the night.

2/26 - Tr. Flynn arrested a 45 year old Mars Hill woman on an outstanding warrant.

2/26 - Troopers Saucier and Marquis instructed Aroostook County Law Enforcement from various agencies on the new Intoxilyzer 8000.

2/26 - Tr. Flynn investigated a theft complaint on the Conroy Rd in Perham. The victim reported an iPod stolen and believed he knew who took it. The case remains under investigation.

2/27 – Tr. Quint is investigating the theft of six firearms from a residence in Hodgdon. The owner had the weapons in a locked gun safe in the basement. The suspect(s) located the key which was hidden in another part of the home, unlocked the safe, took the weapons, and locked the safe taking the key with them. The incident likely occurred back in October 2013 and Tr. Quint is following leads.

2/28 – Tr. Clark summonsed a Presque Isle man for criminal trespass after the man returned to an Mapleton apartment after being previously ordered to leave and not return.

2/28 - Tr. Saucier began investigating a felony level bad check case where a Merrill couple is suspected of cashing checks off closed accounts throughout Southern Aroostook County. The case remains under investigation.

2/28 - Tr. Ferland and Deputy Montpetit were attempting to locate an individual with an arrest warrant and conduct a probation check on two separate individuals. During their investigation, they charged a 25 year old male and a 33 year old female for possessing marijuana and paraphernalia. At another residence, they charged a 25 year old male for paraphernalia. Both residences were in Island Falls.

2/28 - Tr. Monahan interviewed parent about possible ongoing sexual assault against a child. After initial interview, case was referred to MCU Detectives for investigation.

3/01 – Tr. Clark responded to a residence in Blaine were a mother found an 18 year old male visiting with her 16 year old daughter. During the argument with her daughter, the daughter consumed a whole bottle of pills. The girl was transported to TAMC by ambulance and is currently in intensive care on a ventilator. The 18 year old was served with a trespass notice not to return to the residence. Tr. Clark advised the mother on how to obtain a P.O. on behalf of her daughter against the boyfriend.

3/01 - Tr. Marquis conducted a traffic stop in Wallagrass and as a result, charged an 18 year old East Millinocket girl with possession of alcohol and drug paraphernalia.

3/01 - Sgt. Haines responded to Peru for a Tactical Team activation.

3/02 - Troopers Flynn and Casavant responded to the Parson Rd in Mapleton for a domestic assault. As a result of the investigation a 50 year old New Brunswick female was arrested for assault on her boyfriend. The man sustained minor injuries and was evaluated by Crown Ambulance.

3/02 Tr. Saucier responded to a family fight on Sewell St in Island Falls reported by a third party. As a result the suspect was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Sgt. Fuller and Aroostook SO assisted with the investigation.

3/02 - Tr. Monahan completed background investigation on applicant from Southern Aroostook area and submitted for review.

 

Troop F of the Maine State Police is responsible for Aroostook County and the extreme northern sections of Somerset, Piscataquis and Penobscot counties. In addition, the Troop patrols Interstate 95 from Sherman to the Canadian border in Houlton.
