Maine State Police – Troop F’s weekly incident report…

4/14 - Tr. Casavant responded to a traffic complaint on the interstate and as a result of the stop, summonsed a Rockland man with possession of marijuana.

4/14 - Tr. Levesque assisted Caribou PD with a bail check at a local residence. As a result, Tr. Levesque arrested a female who was on bail with conditions to have an electronic monitor but she had removed the device. CPD also arrested a male subject at the residence for violation of bail conditions.

4/15-16 - Sgt. Haines attended two days of Tactical Team training in Augusta.

4/16 – Tr. Quint responded to the Houlton POE for a MA. man who had been refused entry into Canada after he missed the Houlton exit. As the man attempted to re-enter the US, Customs Officials discovered the man was under suspension in ME. The man was summonsed for the violation.

4/18 – Tr. Clark investigated a metal theft from an Easton business. Tr. Clark recognized a vehicle in the surveillance video from the business. Tr. Clark charged the owner of the truck with receiving stolen property and recovered the stolen metal. He also seized additional metal pending further investigation.

4/18 - Tr. Flynn was called to Mapleton for a 33 year old woman with suicidal thoughts. The woman went voluntarily in the ambulance for an evaluation.

4/18 – Tr. Michaud summonsed two operators related to distracted driving violations. One teen was stopped after spending several minutes searching their song list on their phone, even while Tr. Michaud was trying to stop them. The second driver was drinking a fast food drink and left the paved section of the road briefly before recovering to his lane. He was cited for Failure to Maintain Control.

4/19 - Troopers Casavant and Doody conducted a traffic stop on Route 1 in Bridgewater and as a result, charged a 62 year old Monticello man with operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

4/19 - Flynn conducted a traffic stop on Route 1 in Caribou and as a result, charged an 18 year old Portland man with possession of drug paraphernalia and a 19 year old Old Orchard Beach female with possession of marijuana.

4/19 - Troopers Casavant and Doody assisted the Sheriff’s Department with an unattended death in Littleton of an 87 year old male. Troopers made the death notification to the man’s grandson.

4/19 - Troopers Casavant and Doody arrested a 50 year old Monticello man on an outstanding warrant.

In follow-up to Tr. Clark’s child abuse case from last month in Mapleton: After review by the D.A.’s Office, additional charges against the adult male have been added to include; Aggravated Assault and Domestic Violence Assault.

Troop F of the Maine State Police is responsible for Aroostook County and the extreme northern sections of Somerset, Piscataquis and Penobscot counties. In addition, the Troop patrols Interstate 95 from Sherman to the Canadian border in Houlton.
