New Spot In Bangor Pays Homage To Horror, Specializing In Spooky Stuff
Connesseuirs of the creepy have a new place to shop in Downtown Bangor. If you like spooky stuff, you may want to check out The Emporium on State Street. Nestled in the same area as the Sugar Ray Baking Company and Orono Brewing Company, this shop's got a little bit of everything and a lot of cool plans.
While they're closed on Mondays, every other day of the week, starting at 10 AM, you can check out what thrills and chills you could purchase for the fan of fright on your friends and family list.
From scary bath bombs to terrifying tunes, The Emporium features gifts you can wear, watch, listen to, and play with. There are scary things for all your senses, even some autographed memorabilia.
Aside from offering something spooky all year round, the co-owners of the Emportium Spooky Goods and More, LLC, horror fans, Kaddie Sharpe and Nick Iammatteo, are also getting involved with some local freaky fun.
According to their Facebook Page, the pair, who went on their first date 17 years ago, opened their new shop on their anniversary of that date two weeks ago, and are also hosting cool events throughout the community. This November they're teaming up with local movie theater Black Bear Cinemas, to celebrate "40 Years Of Freddy."
"On Sunday, November 10th join us at Black Bear Cinemas as we celebrate the 40th anniversary of Wes Craven's classic A Nightmare on Elm Street. The show starts at 7:00 pm and you can purchase tickets on BBC's website. "
The website says they also plan to attend some and host future conventions and community events.
