The Emporium features gifts you can wear, watch, listen to, and play with. There are scary things for all your senses, even some autographed memorabilia.

All of them hope to inspire those who admire these murals, to appreciate the world around them and leave it a better place than we have found it.

The Bangor Historical Society is celebrating its 160th year this year, and it wants to mark the occasion the best way it knows how; with a history hunt!

Work began earlier this week on a project that will reconfigure the area of Pickering Square by the new Transit Center in Bangor.

The piece, which runs along Hammond Street, from Main St. to Franklin St., is being worked on by dozens of local volunteers...

This year there are more umbrellas, and a couple of other sweet features added to the display, including a couple of upside-down umbrella benches.

A beautification project taking place in front of legendary Maine author Stephen King's former house on West Broadway is coming along nicely.

As a precaution, before we allowed any kids to go running around that area, we went down and surveyed it to make sure nothing had been left behind.

To celebrate all this awesome art, the folks at Bangor Beautiful have come up with a cool way to make sure no one misses a mural.

Within the next two months, folks in Bangor can expect the production of a couple of other large murals in the downtown area.
