The CP Holiday Train Returns To Hermon Next Month

Kick off the holiday season with the beautiful CP Holiday Train

Hard to think about the Christmas season, when Halloween hasn't even arrived yet, but after a hugely successful visit to Maine last year, an iconic event is happening once again, on Tuesday, November 21st.

The CP Holiday Train has two trains, one that travels exclusively in Canada and another with stops in both Canada and the U.S. And next month, it will make 3 visits to Maine, including Hermon. It will also make stops in Brownville and Jackman.

The train is back live and in person for its 25th year. They support food banks and food shelves, by raising awareness for food insecurity issues. You can enjoy musicians play free half-hour concerts from the brightly decorated train's stage.

In 2022, the CP Holiday Train made its maiden voyage to the state of Maine, with a bunch of colorfully lit boxcars, holiday cheer, and a rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba, performing a live concert for the crowds.

So many people from all over Maine caught it all in person. Stopping for around 30 minutes, the band played many well known holiday songs, and there were several speakers whole spoke about many of the local food pantries throughout the state for those in need.

This is the perfect excuse to get out and spread some holiday cheer.

Here are the scheduled stops in Maine, on November 21st: The trains will arrive 15 minutes prior to the event & performance!

11:45am-12:15am Hermon, at the railway crossing on Dave's way between Coldbrook Road and Printer's Drive

5:15pm-5:45pm Brownville, at CPKC Railroad, 1586 Maine Road, adjacent to CPKC Parking Lot

9:30pm-10:00pm Jackman, at the CPKC Railroad, 4 Walton Street, adjacent to Rancourt Logistics.
